A U.S online automotive retailer adds support for digital currency payments

RPM Outlet, an online automotive retailer which specializes in high-performance car parts, has added support for digital currency payments. The retailer added the digital currency payments option after jointly working with Chimpion and Shopping Cart Elite. Chimpion network allows online merchants to comfortably accept digital currency payments.

According to details posted on its website, the Chimpion network is meant to help online shops to accept digital currency payments. The network also allows the store owners to choose which cryptocurrency they would like to support.

Jeremy Thompson, CEO, RPM Outlet, said that:

Since digital currency payments are processed almost instantly, we can get our orders out faster than ever without having to worry about the payment bouncing after the products have left our warehouse. Becoming a Chimpion merchant will help us to stay true to our mission and boost our bottom-line.

The automobile retailer noted that by introducing digital currency payments, their customers are exempted from the high fiat currency conversion fees. The customers will also benefit from highly minimized transaction fees and faster transaction processing speeds.

RPM will be accepting Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dash, among others.

According to its whitepaper, the Chimpion blockchain was initially meant to operate as an EOS smart contract waiting to be migrated to its own chain. Upon migration, the Chimpion network will add support for loyalty rewards and development of decentralized applications.

Apart from RPM Outlet, other stores on the Chimpion network include Mark Jewelers, Mahone’s Wallpaper Shop, Rosetta Coffee, and NewParts.

On its website, RPM Outlet notes that they will continue to focus on how their customers can enjoy quicker services “with the least amount of effort” on their side.

Do you think online merchants across the globe will continue to add digital currency payments options to bypass high fiat conversion fees and to enjoy higher transaction speeds?
