Blockexplorer.com moves support from BTC to BCH

Given the increasing problems surrounding Bitcoin core’s functionality, it is now clear that Blockexplorer’s CEO, Rick Falkivinje, is no longer a big fan of Bitcoin core but rather favors Bitcoin Cash. Blockexplorer.com is a web tool which provides detailed information about Bitcoin blocks, addresses and transactions. Rick explained the Bitcoin current version is an evolutionary dead end and soon, the web tool will change Blockexplorer.com to Bitcoin cash over Bitcoin Legacy.

According to Blockexplorer, Bitcoin core has high fees and low transaction speed. Hence, disqualifying it as the future currency.

“The Blockstream fork of bitcoin diverges so radically from the ideas presented in the Bitcoin white paper, that it is an evolutionary dead end. While it may still have high trading value, as a mere collectible of curiosity, the Blockstream fork of bitcoin is not part of building any future financial infrastructure, which is what Block Explorer is about”.

The website’s CEO discloses Blockexplorer.com will later withdraw the support for Bitcoin Core Legacy which seems decapitated. However, their first thought was “the Blockstream fork of Bitcoin” is too deprecated, and support it as legacy technology only”.

So far, BCH remains a hot topic and although Blockexplorer.com refers to Bitcoin Cash as Bitcoin, it will be difficult to change the thinking of the rest especially Bitcoin core supporters. Bitcoin Cash Blockexplorer has been deployed and other related services might as well be rolled out.

Nevertheless, it seems more voices within the crypto space are now airing their concern over the issues surrounding Bitcoin core. Recently, a Bitcoin conference in Miami stopped accepting Bitcoin for ticket payments over similar concerns. Roger Ver, “the Bitcoin jesus” has also been a key player in preaching against Bitcoin core’s problems and sees Bitcoin Cash as the “real” Bitcoin.
