Fake news: Tron’s Sun has not been arrested and is in the US

A couple of weeks ago, Justin Sun, the founder of the Tron project won a bid to have a “steak launch” with Warren Buffet. This launch is organized every year and the money raised from the is been used for charity works in honour of his late wife.

This steak launch was originally scheduled for July 25th and led to rumours suggesting Justin Sun has been arrested by the Chinese government, news which was even covered by some top cryptocurrency news platforms.

Tron’s Sun is in San Fransisco

However, Sun has not been arrested by the Chinese government nor is he in jail like some of the coverages suggested. He just went live a few minutes ago on twitter and confirmed he is in San Francisco.

Nevertheless, the launch has indeed been postponed due to Tron’s Sun not feeling too well. According to reports, the Tron founder is suffering from kidney stones and has been postponed the dinner with Buffet to a later date and the new date has not yet been disclosed as of writing time.

The fake news about the arrest of Tron’s Sun saw the coin’s price take a dive from a little under $0.030 to about $0.0220 but has since then been recovering and now trades at around $0.0250.

Live on Twitter and later in a tweet, he made mention of the fact that he is feeling better and also stated that the Tron project is fully decentralized and that he has limited control to how its being run.

He also mentioned a few interesting developments in progress both on Tron and BitTorrent.

It still remains to be heard when the launch will take place as a new date has not been announced yet and many within the crypto space also expect the price of Tron to see an increase as the launch date draws closer.

Sun will be accompanied for the launch by Charlie Lee, the founder of Litecoin and the CEO of the etoro trading platform
